Genistein is an isoflavone that’s naturally found in plants such as red clover, fava beans, and alfalfa.

Isoflavones are plant components considered to be phytoestrogens. Phytoestrogens have been shown to mimic the function of estrogen in the body, in turn helping to alleviate effects of some of the hormonal imbalances that are felt during the menopausal transition.

The genistein used in Phenology products is a pure, non-GMO, soy free, nature-identical isoflavone from DSM Nutritional Products, Inc.

Clinical studies have shown that genistein can decrease the occurrence and duration of hot flashes (and night sweats)*. In one clinical trial, consuming 30 mg/day of genistein was shown to cut hot flashes in half compared to baseline*‡.

No, the genistein used in Phenology supplements is a nature-identical isoflavone that is not derived from soy, allowing for it to be considered soy free.

The saffron extract used in Phenology gummies, Affron® saffron, is produced in Spain. It is extracted from the saffron plant using a state of the art, proprietary process.

Phenology gummies are not made with any of the major food allergens. Great Morning, Beautiful Day, Essential Evening, Elevated Evening gummies are manufactured in facilities with products that contain milk, soy and wheat. However, strict controls are in place to prevent cross contamination.

No, you do not need a prescription for Phenology’s supplements. However, we recommend that you speak with your healthcare provider before starting a new dietary supplement routine.

The Daily Balance gummies are currently available in a Yuzu Tangerine flavor.

Adults, take one (1) gummy daily in the morning, preferably with a meal as part of your daily holistic regimen.

Known as pyridoxine, vitamin B6 is commonly found in foods such as meats, fish, poultry, fortified breakfast cereals, potatoes and bananas and plays an important role in generating energy cells your body can use to release the energy from protein and carbohydrates in foods.* Lack of vitamin B6 has been linked to negative impacts on brain health, confusion, and some forms of anemia due to decreases in hemoglobin production, which can cause feelings of fatigue, weakness or tiredness (commonly referred to as “brain fog”).*

The Peaceful Evening gummies are currently available in a Blackcurrant Champagne flavor.

Adults take one (1) gummy per day, one hour before bedtime.

Melatonin has been shown to be helpful in reducing the amount of time it takes to fall asleep, as well as improving overall sleep quality and duration.*

Additionally, there is some evidence that suggests that at 3 mg per day, melatonin may help support healthy sexual desire in perimenopausal women.*

The inne minilab currently measures salivary progesterone.

Progesterone is a female sex hormone that plays a role in helping the body prepare for potential pregnancy and regulating the menstrual cycle. Progesterone is made by both the corpus luteum of the ovaries, and the adrenal glands.

During mid-life our progesterone levels decrease which can cause irregularity in the menstrual cycle, as well as bothersome symptoms. As we move through the menopause transition, our menstrual cycles become more and more irregular, and we ovulate less often, therefore salivary progesterone levels may help us better understand our personal cycles including when to potentially expect a period, an ovulation and when menopause and PMS symptoms could be more troublesome.

The inne minilab uses highly sensitive immunoassays and advanced image processing to detect subtle differences in your hormonal levels. As a Class I medical device, it has undergone rigorous performance testing to assure that results are accurate.

The inne minilab's salivary progesterone test can give us information on our own personal fluctuations of the hormone progesterone during our menstrual cycles. This can help us understand salivary progesterone “baselines”, “patterns” as well as track symptoms alongside hormone levels for insights.

The inne minilab is designed for women to measure their naturally occurring levels of progesterone. Any additional hormones you take will interfere with the insights that the minilab can provide.

Additionally, the minilab is not currently recommended for women who are pregnant, or those with conditions or medical treatments that impact the regularity of a menstrual cycle such as polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), or endometriosis.

These considerations may affect the accuracy of results and the types of insights that can be provided. We hope to better support women with these experiences in the future.

The simple and convenient saliva test measures daily progesterone levels using a system of strips that work similar to the at-home COVID rapid tests.
